I started off as a rapper, breakdancer, all round b-boy in 1987, i celebrate 20 years in the business this year as both a dj as an mc....I started off rappin' with Kick the Bass in '87 (with Arkis, Ya Kid K, Nii and dj Sake), after that i rapped all over the world with Rhyme Cut Core and De Puta Madre (and also with Vibes Ahead All Stars and Marrakbar). We did shows as support act for Gangstarr, Blade, Disposable heroes of hip hopprisy and many others...
I also mc'ed for many drum'n'bass dj's when they passed through Belgium including the late Khemistry (of Khemistry and Storm), Ed Rush and Kruder and Dorfmeister during the first wave of jungle/drum'n'bass during the early nineties... In the meantime i was also active as a journalist for Plastiks magazine. I interviewed many big stars during that period including Beyoncé,Lauryn Hill, Ol'Dirty Bastard, Rza, Big Pun (RIP), Timbaland, Common, Beenieman, Killah Priest, Black Thought and many others.
After that i started a soundsystem T'n'D with my Haitian friend dj Dors...and started playin' parties all over Belgium, the first big parties we did were the legendary Eskimo parties in Ghent, after that i played at Club 69 which later grew into the now legendary Culture Club where i've been a resident for years. I've been running a reggae radio show on Studio Brussels for five years now. The show is called Bounce and is now part of the drum'n'bass show Jungle Fever...Flip Kowlier has crowned me the 'porn king of Ghent'. and i got a master's degree when it comes to playin' sexy music for the ladies...
Recently i've been around the world to mix at Yellow in Tokyo, Lux in Portugal, Cookies in Berlin and Labo in Poland.... but during the last couple of years i also dj'ed in Miami (WMC, Raleigh Hotel), in London (Isle of MTV party),in Paris (Respect is Burning), festival de Bourges, Jimmy Woo in Amsterdam, skate festival in Montpellier, and many more places around Europe and virtually every concert hall, club or party spot in Belgium.
I just recorded a track 'Watcha Gonna Do' for the last Swirl People album and i'm gonna be workin' on a new track with the Glimmers soon....so after 20 years in the Bizniz, i remain on top of the game....and i plan to keep things funky as ever in the future....see you at yet another episode of one of my crazy freaky parties somewhere soon....
